Our beautiful little Chicky girl was taken from us far too soon when she drowned in a neighbour's swimming pool.

Always athletic and adventurous, Chicky managed to teach herself how to climb the chainlink fence at the back of our yard. We thought we'd arranged a barricade that kept her doing so, but we were wrong -- she climbed over one afternoon, and into our neighbour's yard, where she apparently tried to walk across their covered pool.

It was a horrible, traumatic tragedy, and we have never quite recovered from the shock, or the remorse.

Chicky is deeply missed by all of us, and by my daughter Nicole in particular.
