General Rescue Information In an ideal world, all French Bulldogs would sleep on silk pillows, eat only the finest filet mignon, and be cuddled, hugged and treasured (sounds sort of like my place, actually, minus the filet). Unfortunately, we don't live in an ideal world, and that means that Frenchies sometimes need help. First and foremost - if you are in CANADA, and especially within Ontario and Quebec, and you have a French Bulldog in need of placement, or KNOW of a French Bulldog in need of rescue, please please contact us. We will arrange, non judgementally, to help you to find your French Bulldog a new home. You may contact us immediately at 519.369-2732 In Canada, we're faced with blessedly few Frenchies in need of placement. The waiting list is generally much longer than the dogs ever available, but with the growing popularity of Frenchies and a sudden influx of cheap Eastern European dogs, the number of dogs in need is expected to grow. In Canada, as in the USA, those seeking French Bulldogs in need of adoption are urged to contact French Bulldog Village - http://www.frenchbulldogvillage.com. FBV has a large number of Canadian volunteers. We also suggest searching PetFinder. You can do so for the Toronto area via this link. It's very easy to make this more specific to your own location. You'll be amazed at how many Frenchies and Frenchie crosses there are looking for homes. In the USA, the number of dogs in need is literally staggering. A few years ago, one or two dogs per year might be placed, with each one cause for a major outcry of dismay from owners and breeders alike. French Bulldog Rescue Network is currently placing close to that number in a month. You can find the FBRN, at http://www.frenchbulldogrescue.org . They have stories on dogs currently available, updates on dogs recently placed, and an ongoing and much needed fund raising effort. Do please take a look, and, if possible, offer your assistance. Oh, and make sure to visit the Wrong Puppy, to learn how French Bulldog rescue has been swamped - and financially drained - by puppies purchased from import brokers. How much is that Frenchie in the Window?
