Bear and Perl are from Tessa's final litter.
Bear is registered as Bullmarket's Absolut Baycity Bear, in honor of our veterinarian Dr Barry Burtis (Yes, that's a link. My vet has a web site. How cool is that?). Dr. B drove back from the cottage four hours, on a Saturday, on his birthday, to be there for the delivery. Bear is co-owned with Barb Brown, owner and breeder of his dad Harley, and Mike and Renee Lee of Burlington, who are still amazed that he plays fetch.
Bear's prelim spinal exam on 10/2/00 shows no hemi vertebrae. Final spinal exam will be done at 18 months. Written evaluation on file with us and with OVC.
Perl shares her mother's sweetness towards humans, and total lack of interest in all things canine. While her littermates were playing happily together, Perl was sitting on our feet and insisting on being picked up. She shows wonderful potential at competitive human training. After the tragic loss of Perl's sister, Abby, we made the decision to send Perl to New York City, to live with Kyle and Hillary Knox, Abby's owners.
Perl is happily becoming accustomed to live as a thoroughly urban Frenchie, and has a Frenchie puppy of almost the exactly the same age for a neighbour... She's grateful that being spayed means she can retain her sleek and girlish figure.
