Am Ch Absolut Bullmarket's See Spot Run - Elliott
Bullmarket Absolut White Dragon X Evan Min Flicka Black Face Erika
Birth date: Sept 7 2003 Bred by Carol Gravestock and Barb Brown Owned by Sue Case, Carol Gravestock and Barb Brown Elliott has his CHIC Clearances! - #35721I don't like to be predjudiced, especially about color. But, that said, I do have to admit that two colors hold a special place in my heart - red fawn pieds, because that's what Tessa is, and brindle pieds.
It's hard to get a decent brindle pied. This is a color that doesn't have any camoflauge. Any and all faults are there for all the world to see. Improperly placed markings can give the illusion that a dog is longer than he really is, or that he's not constructed as he should be. Improperly placed markings on the face can throw off expression, or the look of the head's shape. You need to have all of your cards in order to get a good looking pied dog, but when it happens - and it doesn't always - you've hit the proverbial jackpot.
That's why we're so excited about Elliott. He's not just good looking, he's well made, too - and, as I said, it's there for all to see. He has a lovely head, a cobby body, fantastic movement, beautiful expression, and, best of all, his father's sweet, loving, I've-never-met-a-dog-I-didn't-like personality. He's a great example of what Felix, bred properly, produced for us.
He's a clean, non ticked, wonderfully marked pied, with a great topline to boot. Everything about him pleases me at this stage, from his angles front and rear to his clear, free breathing.
Elliot placed second in 12-18 month old puppy dogs at the FBDCA Nationals. As well, he placed second in open pieds, and third in open pieds at the Dallas Fort Worth shows. Not bad for a dog who had only been to three shows before that! At the 2006 FBDCA Nationals, Elliott made it to the second to last cut, owner handled. Way to go, Sue and Elliott!
