No one was more surprised than me when Tessa gave birth to nine puppies (well, except for maybe Tessa!). She was sired by Linda Maingot's incomparable Am/Can Ch El Torro's Roch Voisine, truly one of the most beautiful Frenchies I've ever seen. Roch died far too young, and Sailor's litter was one of only two he sired before passing away.

She has a more "European look" than most of her siblings do - a little higher on leg, a less exagerated head, but she is solid as a rock and healthy as a horse. She's also following in her mom's footsteps - at just six weeks old, she posed for the inside cover of the Dogs in Canada Annual, along with her sibling.

Sailor is the un official dog walker of Bullmarket - she prides herself on her ability to grab other dogs by the collar and walk them around the yard. Size is no object - she'll happily walk anything from her mom to a 65 lb Cane Corso. It was this unfortunate habit that led to Sailor's standing as an official obedience school drop out - her idea of the sit stay included dancing around the other puppies and yanking them by the collar. This behaviour did not endear her to the more serious minded owners in the class, so we've decided to work her in a smaller group next time - perhaps in disguise.
